The kids spent a week with Glynis and Susan this summer. Because Glynis had a job she couldn't get away for the week, so they had a "Staycation", doing fun things in the area all week. And of course having "hang out" time with the aunties.

Celebrating arrival to our "safari" tent cabin at the animal sanctuary in Salinas. We toured the animals and stayed overnight at their bed and breakfast. We fed the elephants dinner at night and in the morning our breakfast was brought to us by an elephant. They brought carrots and we were able to feed her from our deck.
Glynis pointing out the sites during the rocket boat tour. This was the last Saturday of the Staycation, and the girls got to choose anything they've always wanted to do in the Bay Area. Haley said ride an elephant and Kate said ride a speed boat. This is us on the "rocket boat" at Pier 39.
